DALLAS, Texas – Lincoln Hancock Restoration, an Associa company, deployed its catastrophic loss response team ahead of superstorm Sandy to prepare for the largest Atlantic hurricane and the second-costliest in U.S. history.
“Our team, including our own engineer, felt it important to be on ground during the superstorm,” said Chuck Schneider, president of Lincoln Hancock. “Because of the Sandy’s size and the approaching winter storm, getting our people on site as quickly as possible was a priority. Our goal was to be there, hands on, ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work helping people rebuild and get back to their lives.”
The superstorm, with estimated damages of more than $65 billion, left many homeowners along the Mid-Atlantic coast flooded without power or electricity and with significant wind and water damage. Because of their proactive approach, the Lincoln Hancock team was able to begin catastrophic loss inspections immediately.
The team has inspected more than 200 properties in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia and is actively working on several windstorm claims in the region. They are currently working with a $1.5 million renovation in a townhome community affected by a 4 foot tidal surge, a project that will include mold remediation followed by repairs.
“Our property had a number of units that received water damage on the first floors and many other homes lost insulation under the units,” explained Donna Hemphill, Community Manager at Legum & Norman. “Right away the action started, Lincoln Hancock was on property to start the water extraction and dry down. They then put out messages to our owners to keep everyone informed of the next steps to be taken. Lincoln Hancock is a great team to work with, and we are moving forward to get all the units back in pre-storm condition. They have made an outstanding impression on my board of directors and our owners.”
Lincoln Hancock was founded on the belief that homeowners need an ally, someone they can count on when the unthinkable happens.
